Last Saturday it happened. Our daughter Mia’s Marrakech-inspired wedding shower. Our first child to marry, it was quite simply magical. Her sister Jenny, aunt Patricia, and cousin Jackie prepared the loveliest, most delectable, colorful brunch feast and decorations for our guests. My part was to provide our home as the venue, and my collection of treasures from Marrakech, purchased during three wonderful, memory-filled trips. Yes, our guest bedroom is the primary residence of our 15-year-old rescue kitty Julie, AKA Buggy Buggerson. She has self-quarantined to this comfort zone for a couple of years. Our den really needed an uplift. The caveat being that the red leather furniture needed to stay. It is 20 years old, and so ultra soft and cozy perfect that we can’t bear to let it go.
