I just love our master bedroom colors and coziness. And lately I’ve been looking for ideas to create new artwork on either side of the faux fireplace mantel over the funky cowhide print chairs. Of course, I am still amazed at all of the possibilities for painting on the reverse side of glass, and the idea to paint and stencil graphic acrylic wall art struck me. I found wonderful options to purchase acrylic sheets and the standoff wall mounts inexpensively online so let’s do this!

Shop My Living Room

Often I am asked where I shop for our living room.

SO, here I am sharing exact sources for items like the rug, and items I have found that are quite similar to get the look!

Locally, near Greensboro, North Carolina, I love to shop The French Farmer’s Wife and Chartreuse barn shows for those unexpected finds. In the upper left photo, Steve and I made the old window header into a mantel. I discovered the chunky wood coffee table at a used store fixture shop. And the old columns were collected around town from flea markets and antique stores. My fave white leather Moroccan poufs were gifts from the ladies at The French Farmer’s wife.

If you’ve been reading along here on my newest blog journey, you know that we live in an updated 1977 ranch home. We’ve lived here for 30 years, and contractor hubby Steve and I have made some amazing changes in some rooms, and not so much in others. Take our master bath. We could have turned its miniscule self, with no window or special features, into a closet. Then we could have broken through the wall to the nearby small fifth bedroom to create a fancy bathroom with all of the amenities everyone on Pinterest seems to have. But no. We did not.
