Magical Blossoms Everywhere At Kimberly’s Greenhouse In Tazewell, Virginia

Years ago I was on the board of directors at our local art organization. There, I met several women artists and art supporters who became long-time friends. We met for dinner monthly and named ourselves the “Art Ladies.” One of the Ladies, Nancy Greever Brooks, a wonderful jewelry and glass artist, moved to Tazewell, Virginia to restore a magnificent 200-year-old home on a hill. Nancy’s artful home has become our base for art projects, adventures, wonderful food, wine, and shopping excursions of all kinds.

During our trips around the Tazewell and Burke’s Garden areas, we have had the pleasure of meeting many of Nancy’s dear friends, including Kim Santolla, owner of Kimberly’s Greenhouse at Pisgah. Kim’s passion, enthusiasm, and gift for nurturing plants and sharing her gift with all is addictive. Her greenhouse is only open a few months during the year, and it seems we NEVER get there during her selling season.

But! Last weekend Nancy took us there to see Kim’s newest venture – a fabulous cutting garden that extends as far as the eye can see, in a gorgeous mountain setting.
